The design/build project delivery method was used to complete the new Troop Medical and Dental Clinic project. designed using evidence design principles and resulted in a welcoming environment that comforted troops seeking medical treatment. The clinic design provides soldiers with a state-of-the-art facility that contains a primary care clinic, dental clinic, physical therapy area, behavioral health area and pharmacy. These departments are positioned around a shared, centrally located waiting area with large storefront areas and overhead clerestory windows that provides a bright, uplifting environment where patients can comfortably await treatment. Multiple sustainable design features were incorporated into the project to achieve LEED Silver Certification including the installation low-flow plumbing fixtures and high-efficiency fluorescent light fixtures, HVAC enthalpy recovery wheels, and variable volume pumps on chilled water and heating hot water systems.
