The design/build project delivery method was used to complete the new Troop Medical and Dental Clinic project. The delivery method saved time and streamlined the overall design and construction process and required close collaboration between all stakeholders (the client, design team, and general contractor and the user) throughout pre-design, design and construction phases. The clinic design provides soldiers with a state-of-the-art facility that contains a primary care clinic, dental clinic, physical therapy area, behavioral health area and a pharmacy. The design/build team incorporated multiple sustainable design features including to achieve LEED Silver Certification including the installation low-flow plumbing fixtures and high-efficiency fluorescent light fixtures, HVAC enthalpy recovery wheels, and variable volume pumps on chilled water and heating hot water systems.
